Or maybe its the other way around. Normally I don’t like to post the same subject so soon after, but our panther chameleon, Savannah, finally let me get within reach to photograph her with my macro adapter on. Looking at this, her skin appears jeweled and set better than any precious stonesetter could dream of doing. Makes me realize that only when we get this close to something do we see the beauty in the details. Now if my Gila would let me get a photo like this…
Do chameleons dream in color?
The idea for this came from an old piece of artwork a friend had many years ago. I recently took this photo of our panther chameleon and thought it needed a little something extra to make it fun. Doing this made me realize my Photoshop skills are a bit rusty though….
They all said this was the one to get me. This mojave rattlesnake (Crotalus scutulatus) was one of the snakes in my collection for the longest time and despite being an aggressive specimen, I kept this rattlesnake simply because of its character. As it thankfully turns out, this was not the one to get me.
